Diabetes UK has today published a statement on the 'Availability of Specialist Support and Equal Access to Surgery For People with Diabetes' in response to the development of separate services that are COVID-19 free sights for surgery to take place.

The Centre for Perioperative Care fully supports the statement and the preoperative optimisation of people with diabetes and the continuing need for access to specialist services throughout the perioperative period, at all centres conducting surgery, during the COVID-19 pandemic.
