CPOC has published our Assessment, Optimisation and Shared Decision Making page as the final in a series of top seven preoperative optimisation interventions. 

This page is the most challenging because it aims to all staff involved with perioperative care some principles to help when patients have co-existing medical conditions and what to consider when preparing them for surgery.
