We are looking to recruit the next CPOC Clinical Director to lead the CPOC team for a 3 year tenure from summer 2025
The Director for CPOC is an exciting opportunity for a senior clinical leader, working with the CPOC Board and RCoA Council to shape the development of perioperative care in collaboration with cross-specialty stakeholders and partners across the health and social care landscape.
The role
The director is responsible for oversight of the strategic direction of the Centre for Perioperative Care and programme of work dictated by the CPOC Strategy and operational planning in conjunction with the CPOC Board, CPOC Executive and RCoA Council. Summer 2025 is an exciting time to join the centre as work will include the implementation of the next three year strategy. This includes supporting and providing knowledge on the development of clinical services, standard setting, training, curricular, professional education, quality improvement, research, and policy development in perioperative care.
The CPOC Director will oversee a team made of a two Deputy Clinical Directors, CPOC Fellow and Patient Lead to manage CPOC's diverse workload.

The post-holder will commence their duties following a handover period in September 2025 for a period of three years, subject to an annual performance review. The post is renewable for no more than a second three-year term subject to the approval by the CPOC Board.
