Welcome to our Patient Lead

We are delighted to announce that our new Patient Lead, Michelle Deans, will begin in post on the 01 December 2025.

Michelle has championed the patient voice for health and disability charities where she has supported patients and families with self-advocacy, developed disabled leaders and represented patient views to campaign for health service change and improvement.

A rare cancer survivor, she has successfully embedded herself into NHS governance, strategic planning, quality and safety oversight committees and activities in SW London.

The CPOC Patient Lead sits on the CPOC Board and Executive and is responsible for ensuring the patient voice is at centre of everything CPOC does. The Lead is also resposible for chairing the Public and Patient Engagement Network (PPEN), leading our patient facing workstreams.
