The Health Foundation ‘Perioperative Care – Prehabilitation Q Group'
CPOC, in partnership with Macmillan Cancer Support and the Wessex Cancer Alliance, has set up a Perioperative Care – Prehabilitation Group on the Health Foundation’s Q platform.
Our initial focus will be on prehabilitation, specifically supporting and optimising peoples’ physical and mental health in advance of, during and beyond treatment for cancer and other long-term conditions.
The group will bring members together to:
- Learn and share best practice and experiences to implement change at a local level
- Generate discussion and debate
- Support and influence national policy
- Enable Shared Decision Making between patients, family and healthcare professionals
- Share high quality patient information and educational resources
- Share emerging research themes to inform clinical practice
We have over 200 members on the group so far including anaesthetists, dietitians, nurse and clinical nurse specialists, non-clinical staff, operating department practitioners, physiotherapists and more.
