New PQIP 24-25 Report 6 Published

PQIP

The Centre for Research and Innovation (CR&I) at the Royal College of Anaesthetists (RCoA) has published the 6th report for the Perioperative Quality Improvement Programme (PQIP) in conjunction with University College London and The Health Foundation.

 The report shows continued improvement since 2016 in four areas of perioperative care and the data captured in this report represents 5,974 patients undergoing major non-cardiac surgery between 2024-2025.

The top four improvement priorities for improving patient outcomes are; 

  • Perioperative Blood Management
  • DrEaMing
  • Local data
  • Pain Management
